Although our contractors regularly call the union office for hiring referrals, local 65 does not have a strict hiring hall, employers do the interviewing and hiring. In the trades this practice is commonly called a hunting license.   But because of the ability of the union to attract a greater response when advertising for skilled workers, than lone contractors, first contact with the union is a common way of gaining membership.  Local 65 refers all inquiries to its signatory contractors and a list of our contractors is mailed to the caller.  You may also directly contact the employers yourself, they are listed on the Signatory Contractor page of this web site.
